Holiday Party Co-Chair Responsibilities include:
- Contacting parents through email asking for volunteers to form a holiday
party committee.
- Print and post fliers on classroom doors asking for volunteers to set up,
clean up, decorate and make phone calls.
- Develop a check off list for volunteers including appetizers, entrees,
salads, bread, soda, juice, and dessert.
- Assign class telephone and email lists to volunteers asking for food and
beverage donations.
- Coordinate with a volunteer to ask local wine shops for wine donations.
- Weekly follow up calls to families regarding food donations.
- Coordinate with a volunteer to contact alumni families.
- Notify Yolanda Contrubis, Jennifer Denza or Kaity Kapetan of how many children
will be attending including siblings and alumni’s.
- Coordinate with a volunteer to assemble goody bags for Santa.
- Coordinate with a volunteer to print up Holiday Party programs.
- Decorate the hall with artwork, centerpieces, set up tables with programs,
tablecloths and put out chairs.
- Ask for volunteers to collect food deliveries from families at the location
of the event, heat up food and set up in sternos or on tables.
- Remind parents to bring serving utensils and label tupperwares or pans.
- Make price list for wine to post in hall.
- Coordinate volunteers as bartenders to serve wine and collect monies.
- Coordinate with a volunteer at the door to collect admission fees (Most are prepaid.
We will give you a list of who has not paid by the day of the event).
- Clean up.
- Any monies collected are to be given to Yolanda Contrubis at the end of
the evening.
- Email parents thanking for food and beverage donations, volunteering and
support.
- Email thank you to alumni families for continued support.
- Print and mail thank you letters to commercial donors.
